ROLE SUMMARY
As a member of the Pfizer Digital Global Product Development (GPD) Core Solutions Team this role is a dual role split between i. managing GPD Greece colleagues for their assignments and career growth, and ii. accountable for the full lifecycle of solution development and delivery of core GPD solutions.
GPD delivers innovative clinical designs and quantitative methods for assets and programs and delivers high quality data and reporting for trials and submissions. GPD strives to be the preferred collaborative partner for harnessing the power of clinical operations, scientific and subject data to drive robust evidence-based decision-making and shape the scientific and healthcare environment.
The role requires both superb team management expertise and program management capabilities to build the cohesive GPD Creation Center team in Greece and to successfully deliver the systems to our Global Product Development customers. This role is responsible to lead and manage FTEs and project team members in the delivery of technology solutions supporting Global Product Development in partnership and collaboration with GPD Client Partners, other Business Technology service providers, GPD Information management (IM), and business team members stakeholders.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Active leadership of approximately 8 Greece colleagues in an agile and fast-paced environment that adroitly embraces change, balances competing priorities and incorporate learnings.
- Managing a technology portfolio of multiple global critical solutions, systems, tools, and platforms for GPD. Projects may also include acquisition and divestiture projects
- Mentor and guide colleagues in completing their assigned work and to grow their digital and cloud computing capabilities.
- Coach colleagues for individual development planning.
- Apply both direct supervision and indirect influence to achieve desired outcomes for GPD deliverables.
- Responsible to understand and follow all Pfizer policies, procedures, and Digital Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and work instructions.
- Ensure the delivery of project management deliverables as defined by the project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) that are appropriate for the size, scale, complexity and regulatory compliance of the assigned program(s) or project(s).
- Ensures resource management and planning for colleagues and consultants as needed to achieve project milestones and business outcomes.
- Perform effective and clear stakeholder management communications and activities with a clear articulation of vision, direction, and expectations.
- Oversee project team members and their activities including supplier commitments.
- Effectively manage project resources including finances, commercial contracts, people, assets, computing platform and intellectual property.
- Manage project risks and ensure timely escalation of high impact risks/issues.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of relevant team leading and technical experience with emphasis on project management of software delivery projects
- Deep understanding of the engineering, development, implementation and management of information technology solutions, tools, and platforms.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop & coach others, and oversee the work of colleagues & other team members to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
- High proficiency and proven successful delivery of projects and programs using various delivery methodologies ranging from traditional waterfall to agile.
- Proven relevant experience as an information technology professional in one or many roles such as a software developer, technical project manager, systems administrator, database administrator, systems engineer, computer engineer or support specialist.
