The BI Devops Engineer designs, develops, monitors and secures the BI & Analytics platforms according to strategic business objectives, focusing on operational stability, high performance, and proper compliance. He/ She establishes best practices and supports the daily operations of the BI Team, ensuring platform functionality and data quality with minimum risk.​

Your day to day will include:

• Designing their Data Warehouse platforms based on business needs and supporting the reporting, analytics & data mining requirements
• Establishing, documenting, and providing guidelines and best practices for the implementation of their Data Warehouse components, like ETL procedures, reports and data marts
• Analyzing, evaluating and monitoring the BI solutions while proposing improvements in the usability and security of BI systems by executing Proofs-of-concepts in new tools and platforms
• Administering the Data Warehouse, BI/Analytics and Data Governance platforms by monitoring their efficiency and functionality according to requirements
• Executing the necessary maintenance activities and troubleshooting of their Data Warehouses, including their Enterprise Data Warehouse and Aggregation Layer as well as those delivered by vendors and communicating with BI systems vendors to report and resolve issues
• Monitoring system status and responding quickly to incidents that affect the service level, in cooperation with other IT teams as needed Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles by setting up and monitoring test environments and enabling proper production deployment
• Keeping all BI tools and platforms up-to-date with all the recent official updates to ensure security and stability
• Creating and managing user roles and groups by tailoring the access rights to the exact business needs
• Ensuring compliance to company processes for granting access to BI assets and informing business owners according to security and privacy guidelines

What you need to succeed:

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another relevant field. An MSc degree in relevant topic is desirable
• 3+ years of proven experience in an Administrative role in preferably MS SQL server database systems or other relational database system (e.g. Oracle, DB2, MySQL etc) supporting data management, reporting and analytics in a large data warehouse environment
• Experience with versioning and collaboration systems (GitHub, TFS, ClearCase or similar)
• Good knowledge of security principals principles, protocols and encryption mechanisms
• Experience with Cloud-based platforms for Big Data and Analytics (Azure/PowerBI, AWS, Google Analytics)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently both on own initiative and within a team
• Effective organizational and planning skills to deal with a variety of projects
• Excellent use of Greek and English languages (oral and written)
