The Cloud Mobile Gateway (CMG) goes beyond network virtualization with an optimized cloud-native software design that supports the evolution of advanced 4G, IoT/MTC and 5G services. It delivers the high performance and subscriber scalability to address the growth in users, devices and applications, and the associated demands for high bandwidth and lower latency. The CMG supports multi-access connectivity by converging multiple mobile gateway functions onto a single, general-purpose computing platform while offering multiple configuration options that provide deployment flexibility.

What You Will Learn And Contribute To

They are looking for highly motivated individuals to join their Performance and Platform Test team located in Athens Technology Center and work together with very talented engineers, in a technically challenging and stimulating environment. As a member of our team you will be responsible to:

• Develop in-depth understanding of gateway features and networking protocols, using study materials, training courses and in-person mentoring
• Participate in the performance testing of new features for the company’s Mobile Gateway product (CMG), based on telecom specifications and customer requirements .
• Participate in the platform testing of the company’s Mobile Gateway product (CMG) including L2 protocols, L3/routing protocols.
• Derive test plan requirements from product requirements and standards documents
• Review test plans, test procedures and infrastructure for adequacy and completeness/correctness
• Code and automate test cases using the automation environment (TCL or Python) and have them integrated in the regression infrastructure
• Debug and fix issues in automated test cases for a feature, and find ways to optimize runtime by re-architecting test suites
• Analyze results of tests and interact with functional test engineers, development engineers and Product Managers in the resolution/root causing of test failures
• Be creative and identify new valid test cases unearthing any unexposed critical bugs. Automate the tests to enhance coverage
• As part of the overall process, create well written robust test suites and maintain them

Your Skills And Experience

• BSc or MSc in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent degree
• Preferably 2+ years of industry experience or a fresh grad with a strong academics background
• Exposure to software programming preferably with scripting languages (e.g. Python, TCL, Bash etc.)
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, L2 protocols, L3/Routing protocols) and an aptitude to expand networking knowledge
• Exposure to telecom standards and technologies (3GPP, 4G/5G radio or packet core, Wi-Fi, LTE)
• Proven aptitude for methodical problem troubleshooting and solving, good communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a close-knit team
• Quick learner, self-starter, able to work independently having strong sense of ownership and responsibility
• Want to contribute to high edge technology, innovative and eager to learn state-of-the-art technologies
• Enjoy working in an inclusive environment, which appreciates diversity and embraces high ethical standards
• Fluent in English spoken and written
• Free of military service obligations (applicable for male candidates)

Would be nice to have

• Exposure to concepts/technologies like 5G, Kubernetes, public/private cloud, CI-CD, REST APIs testing
• Exposure to UNIX/Linux and have knowledge on Source code management tools like Git
• ISTQB certification
• Exposure to protocols like HTTP2, GTP, Radius, Diameter
