Our client is one of Greece’s leading industrial companies with a strong international presence in four Business Units, Metallurgy, EPC, Electric Power and Gas Trading, is currently seeking to hire a Data Scientist
Main Responsibilities:
- Data acquisition, cleansing, enhancement and labeling from various, heterogeneous, hot and cold data sources.
- Data modeling and loading to relational and No-SQL data stores.
- Machine learning model building including data ingestion, feature engineering, data segregation, training, evaluation/ scoring, deployment and performance monitoring.
- Information analysis and visualization using interactive dashboards
- Source code management using Git.
- Compilation of high-quality documentation.
- Collaboration with project managers, developers, DevOps, stakeholders and partners to bring value through successfully delivering BI projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science or equivalent
- Between 1 and 3 years of experience with Data Preparation, Data Modeling & Analysis, Machine Learning and BI tools.
- Good understanding of text analysis, regression, clustering, classification and recommendation algorithms.
- Hands on experience with Python or R.
- Strong data modelling and management skills using MS SQL Server and MySQL.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with real-time stream analytics and data visualization.
- Familiarity with No-SQL databases, e.g., MongoDB.
- Experience using any of the following: Hadoop, Pig, Scala, Spark
- Iterative development frameworks including Scrum.
- Ideally, you will have experience in energy market and exposure in large-scale data management projects, integrating data from heterogenous systems (CRM, Billing, ERP, Data Warehouses, Portals etc.).
