IT Cyber Security Supervisor

Our client, one of Greece’s leading industrial companies with a strong international presence in four Business Units, Metallurgy, EPC, Electric Power and Gas Trading, is currently seeking to hire an Applications & Integration Architect.

Due to the continued growth of their cyber security measures implemented, they are now recruiting an IT security specialist to join their security team in Athens. They are currently seeking for team players with exceptional analytical skills who are passionate about how technology can improve cybersecurity and data protection.

Position Main Responsibilities

• Experience on People Management
• Management, operation, and improvement of the security infrastructure e.g. AV, DLP, EDR, PAM et al.
• Review / development of technical security standards and security related SOPs. procedures
• Analyze security alerts and coordinate response activities and be a member of the incident response team
• Participate / lead in cyber security projects
• Participate in projects to ensure security by design and best practices
• Develop best practices for security hardening of OS, DBs, network, applications and cloud solutions or platforms

Skills & experience

• A University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relative discipline
• 5 years of experience in cyber security and/or IT
• Minimum of 2 year in a Cyber/network/ Information Security Supervisor related role
• Very good familiarization with modern Information and Communication Technology solutions
• Very good familiarization with modern information security solutions
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and work as a team member
• Strong desire for exploring, evaluating and understanding new technologies
• Experience in systems / platforms Administration
• Good understanding of cyber security concepts, emerging security technologies and recent developments in cyber security
• Good Understanding of incident response processes and procedures
• Good familiarization with information security best practices and systems hardening
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-drive with high level of initiative, flexibility and proactive thinking
• Knowledge of networking principles and networking security best practices

Could be considered as a plus

• Knowledge and experience of advanced security solutions (EDR, Privilege Access Management, SIEM etc.)
• Relevant professional qualifications and certifications in the areas of Information Security and Data Protection such as, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor etc.
• Knowledge of windows / linux OS & *SQL / Oracle Databases
