The company is on a transition phase at the moment, where they implement new technologies (Spring Boot, microservices architecture) and they are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join their team.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design and development of Java based solutions & applications by working on cutting edge technologies.
  • Working with a team of highly skilled IT professionals, in a multi-disciplinary environment, the ideal candidate will participate in all phases of the development cycle, from analysis over design to development, test & implementation.
  • The candidate should be proactive, self-directed, passionate and motivated to learn cutting edge technologies and new software development trends.

Candidate Profile:
  • University/College Degree or Technical School Diploma
  • MSc degree either Computer Science or Business will be considered a plus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java (2 years of experience at least)
  • Excellent knowledge of object oriented design patterns and good practices
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL
  • Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Good knowledge of SOAP and REST web services
  • Good knowledge of Spring frameworks (2 years of experience at least)
  • Knowledge of Vaadin will be considered a great asset
  • Knowledge of Glassfish or Wildfly servers
  • Experience in Insurance Business will be considered as an asset
  • Good experience of Javascript is a plus
