They service most Greek Marketplaces, including Greece’s largest and most successful marketplace. Their systems connect to thousands of banks, in Greece and abroad. Their tech processes tens of thousands of transactions every day – that’s € billions worth of e-commerce. If you have bought something online in Greece, chances are you have already used their payments product.

The company is fully owned by a group of companies and both a Tech Company and a Regulated Financial Services Institution. Therefore, you will be exposed to the world of the Tech Payments Sector and that of Financial Services.

The Role

Product Managers are responsible for the backbone of their core platform. They look after all activities related to the research, design, development, and marketing of their products. They live and breathe in tandem with the market and their customers. They design products starting with understanding the market and customer needs and evaluating current solutions, and potential improvements. Product managers are also responsible to coordinate internal, and external teams (eg Sales, or Operations) in order to capture product feedback.

Their Challenges

• Scale: Their business is on a significant growth trajectory. This means that their tech has to follow suit. You can be expected to work on optimising their architecture and tech, enabling global level of workloads, and solving major, complex, scalability problems.
• Breadth: They are on a constant mission of expanding their product line. You will be working on enabling the latest and most innovative payment methods using cutting-edge APIs and infrastructure of companies such as Google, Apple, and Amazon.
• Depth: They are a tech company. As they grow, they are constantly re-evaluating their tech stack, and refactor their code-base. They are on a constant mission to refactor, and optimise, their existing product.

You will

• Create new products that positively impact almost every person who buys or sells via e-commerce in Greece.
• Conduct market research to identify new product ideas.
• Oversee the design, and development of products, as well as the go-to-market strategy and cross-selling strategy to current customers.
• Set goals and comms guidelines for Sales and Marketing.
• Optimise product/market fit for existing and new products.
• Work with a wide range of systems, both in-house and external interfaces.
• Be exposed to, and learn about the unique world of payments, and learn the APIs and functionality of significant Payment Schemes like Visa and Mastercard.
• Work with your team, learn from them, and share your knowledge.
• Understand the latest cloud-based technologies, including full Agile, Automated CI/CD and testing.
• Collaborate across different departments, including SRE, Development, Sales, Compliance, AML and Operations.
• Research, and develop new products poised to help marketplaces and merchants grow.

Your Profile

• 3+ years of experience in developing products in a product company.
• A finance and payments background is a plus but not a must-have.
• Be creative, open-minded and commercially driven.
• You thrive in team-based environments and can co-operate with stakeholders from all departments and levels of the organization.
• Have high levels of user empathy, and care for improving customer experience.
• Take pride in being an Engineer and apply your skills in a multitude of problems spanning across multiple verticals.
