Our client Qualco is a leading Fintech solutions provider, offering a wide range of analytics-driven, highly scalable enterprise software solutions in over 35 countries worldwide. Their end-to-end technology solutions cover a wide range of needs for Banking, Financial Services, Utilities, Insurance, Retail organisations, and beyond.

They are looking for a Senior Integration Architect to join their Integrated Services department.

Reporting to the VP of Integrated Services, this role has the following duties:

• Analyzes integration requirements in large-scale, multi-vendor projects of Qualco Group
•  Provides advice and guidance about integration best practices to the designers of APIs and services
•  Identifies established integration patterns in APIs and interfaces of existing products and provides
  advice and consultancy for their optimal use, transformation, and organization
•  Maintains global data dictionary plans and system-of-reference inventories, and manages
  requirements for enterprise-level metadata, such as API and integration pattern definitions
• Participates in the selection of the appropriate middleware, ranging from established commercial
  products and services to renowned license-free, open-source solutions
• Directs and coordinates the per-project required development and integration to be performed on
  middleware, including configuration and adaptation of middleware platforms
• Defines, plans and tests the resilience and recovery from systems or communications failure
  situations, including scenarios for distributed transactions, intermediate message storage, and
  transactions consistency and/or repeatability
•  Cooperates with domain- or product-specific integration experts and engineers
• Assists the Software Design units in integration-related design, use case definition and analysis, UAT planning, etc.
• Assists in the selection of third-party software components and services, judging from an integration point-of-view, e.g., in terms of readiness, clarity, resilience etc. of integration methods and APIs.

Candidates for this role should have the following qualifications:

•  A University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering; a
  graduate-level degree in a subject related to complex distributed systems will be considered a plus
•  At least eight years of experience in related positions, working in the integration of complex systems
•  Expert-level knowledge and programming fluency in at least one of C#/.Net and Java, with
  experience in other languages, like C++, Scala, Python, etc. being considered a plus
• Very good knowledge of WSDL, REST/XML and REST/JSON API integration techniques, including
  specs and tools for the generation of providers and consumers using WSDL and OpenAPI specs and
  API mocking
•  Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD/CT, build and testing pipelines
• Experience in middleware systems, possibly including Message/Service Buses, Message Queues, but
  with a preference in Event Streaming architectures including native Cloud offerings; experience in
  Kafka will be considered a strong plus
• Experience in working with Docker containers (containerization, Docker image building and
  maintenance, composition, etc.)
• Experience in Spring Boot will be highly appreciated
•  Experience with Kubernetes will be considered a plus
• Experience in API Gateways and Service Meshes will be considered a plus
• Experience in orchestration notations, tools, and techniques for complex systems
• Proven experience in at least two large-scale integration projects involving various systems from
  different vendors using APIs, integration middleware and orchestration principles
• Ability to cooperate smoothly and efficiently within large teams of peers, using various technologies, having various statuses (employees/vendors/subcontractors), and spanning a wide range of skills and cultures
• A fair understanding of the business and regulatory landscape in the financial sector and the ability to follow and implement regulatory requirements in the banking sector, including security, availability, resilience, and privacy specs
• A collaborative profile and a high-EQ team spirit
•  Excellent oral and written English language skills
