Senior Integration Engineer

Our client Qualco is a leading Fintech solutions provider, offering a wide range of analytics-driven, highly scalable enterprise software solutions in over 35 countries worldwide. Their end-to-end technology solutions cover a wide range of needs for Banking, Financial Services, Utilities, Insurance, Retail organisations, and beyond.

They are looking for a Senior Integration Engineer to join their Integrated Services department.

Reporting to the VP of Integrated Services, this role has the following duties:
• Take part in the code design and implementation phases of a complex distributed system
• Write adaptation/integration code among internal or third-party components and a central
event-oriented integration platform
• Create, expose, and consume APIs from and to individual components as above
• Implement and execute automated tests (from unit to end-to-end, integration and
performance)
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance issues
• Write and maintain high-quality documentation
• Participate in design, development and DevOps teams as a part of an agile methodology-based
workforce

Requirements:

• University degree (4+ years of studies) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or related fields
• Graduate studies in a related field will be considered a plus
• 4+ years in software engineering positions
• Experience in designing, implementing, documenting REST APIs, as well as in consuming third-
party REST APIs
• Experience in designing, implementing, documenting and/or consuming SOAP APIs will be
considered a plus
• Experience in at least 2 complex, multi-component projects requiring integration among
components
• Proficiency in Java, though not an absolute must, will be highly appreciated; alternatively, or
complementary proficiency in C#/.Net will also be considered
• Good knowledge of at least one, preferably two or more programming language(s), is required
(e.g., Scala, Ruby, Go, Python)
• Experience with server-side programming (e.g., servlets, API endpoints, MVC frameworks,
ORMs, caching)
• Experience in writing and executing different types of tests (e.g., unit, integration, performance,
end-to-end, smoke)
• Experience with Spring Boot or similar frameworks will be highly appreciated
• Experience in working with Docker containers will be highly appreciated
• Knowledge of and experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kafka or other event streaming platforms,
Cloud-native services and/or Kubernetes will be considered a plus
• Ability to cooperate smoothly and efficiently within large teams of peers, using various
technologies, having various statuses (employees/vendors/subcontractors), and spanning a
wide range of skills and cultures
• Attention to detail, desire to keep learning and growing, and a collaborative profile / high-EQ
team spirit
• Excellent oral and written English language skills
