Our client is a B2B innovative startup software company which was established in 2019 and aims to bring something fresh to the Shipping community. Its innovative platform for Shipowners, Management companies and Charterers aiming to improve their operational efficiencies. They provide software for ship owners, management companies, and charterers’ internal disbursements departments to optimize their processes and maximize efficiency. They aspire to reshape the Disbursements process by providing a leading software to the industry.
Their vision is to reshape completely how both Shipping Companies and Port Agents operate and provide transparency to all involved parties.
Their mission is to provide state-of-the-art working conditions and set the highest of standards on how a team should operate.
They are currently growing their team and looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer who will be working with technologies such as Spring Boot, RabbitMQ, React and AWS and be an integral part of designing and implementing the next generation of our product.
Responsibilities
- Join a team of software engineers as a senior team member and deliver well designed, maintainable and robust solutions.
- Mentor other team members and help the team achieve its goals.
- Promote software engineering and automated testing best practices.
- Participate in the design of our product’s architecture going forward.
- Cooperate with other teams within the company as part of our analysis and planning process.
Requirements
- 5+ year of experience in software engineering with Java and Javascript
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot
- Experience with relational databases and Hibernate
- Proven track record of building and maintaining scalable web applications
- A deep understanding of software engineering best practices
- A passion for code quality and security and appreciation of automated testing, TDD and release automation
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- A desire to keep learning and evolving and the ability to pass your knowledge to others
- Experience with Groovy and Typescript
- Experience with front end libraries and frameworks, ideally React, Redux and RxJs
- Experience with event-driven microservice architectures
- Experience with test automation libraries and frameworks such as JUnit, Spock, Selenium, Cypress, etc.
- Familiarity with Docker
- Familiarity with Cloud solutions (ideally AWS)
- Familiarity with CI tools (Jenkins, GItlab CI, etc.)
