Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and technical administration for the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring stability, performance, and security across all sites and business units.
  • Act as the main point of contact for network-related incidents, service requests, and technical escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Manage, configure, and support core networking and security technologies, including Cisco firewalls and switches, FortiGate, FortiSwitch, UniFi, and Cisco ISE.
  • Monitor network performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity problems across LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and site-to-site environments.
  • Design, review, and maintain firewall rules, network segmentation, and access control policies in line with business and security requirements.
  • Support and improve network security architecture, including technologies and concepts such as NAC, SASE, malware protection, secure access, and policy enforcement.
  • Evaluate existing network infrastructure and propose scalable, reliable, and secure technical solutions to address current and future business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal IT teams, external vendors, and service providers for incident resolution, implementations, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Participate in network refresh, upgrade, migration, and rollout projects, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal business disruption.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and infrastructure governance practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement, standardization, and modernization of the company’s network and security environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least  5 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, or a similar infrastructure role.
  • Proven experience with Cisco firewalls and switches, FortiGate, FortiSwitch, UniFi, and Cisco ISE.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise network architecture, including LAN, WAN, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and wireless networks.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, NSE, or similar will be considered an asset.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced IT environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with cloud networking and hybrid connectivity (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, SD-WAN, or cloud-native networking solutions).
  • Familiarity with network automation and scripting using tools such as Python, Ansible, or PowerShell to streamline infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or Grafana) and proactive performance optimization.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments, including change management, incident management, and infrastructure governance.

Salary (Ind.): 2500-3000 € / Per month Gross
