We are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Cyber Defense to join our client, one of the world’s leading biopharmaceutical companies, as it expands its global Cyber Security leadership team in Thessaloniki. In this strategic leadership role, you will define and execute the organization’s global Cyber Defense strategy, leading internationally distributed teams across Security Operations, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security, Network Security, and Security Engineering. Working closely with executive leadership and the CISO, you will drive large-scale cybersecurity transformation initiatives, strengthen the organization’s security posture, and build resilient, modern cyber defense capabilities across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the organization’s Cyber Defense strategy across Security Operations, Cloud Security, Network Security, and Cyber Security Posture Management.
  • Lead globally distributed teams responsible for SOC Operations,
  • Incident Response, Security Engineering, Network Security, and Threat Intelligence.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and the CISO to strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
  • Drive large-scale cybersecurity transformation initiatives and modernize legacy security environments.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide Vulnerability Management and Threat Intelligence programs.
  • Ensure effective incident response, threat detection, monitoring, and cyber resilience across global operations.
  • Lead cloud security initiatives across enterprise cloud environments.
  • Define network security strategies, including segmentation, secure remote access, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and modern security controls.
  • Manage strategic vendors, budgets, and cybersecurity investments.
    Coach, mentor, and inspire high-performing international leadership teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of experience in Cyber Security.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience managing enterprise Cyber Security organizations.
  • Proven experience leading large international Security Operations teams.
  • Strong background in Cyber Defense, SOC Operations, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Network Security, Cloud Security, and Vulnerability Management.
  • Experience developing Cyber Security strategies for large enterprise organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Security Architecture and enterprise security technologies.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to lead complex global organizations and inspire high-performing teams.

  • Cyber Security: SOC, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, Security Engineering
  • Cloud: Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
  • Security Platforms: CrowdStrike, Wiz, Zscaler
  • Security Operations: SIEM, SOAR, EDR
  • Network Security: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS Protection, Secure Remote Access
  • Frameworks: MITRE ATT&CK, Red Team, Purple Team

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with CrowdStrike (SIEM, EDR, Threat Intelligence).
  • Experience with Wiz for Cloud Security.
  • Experience with Zscaler and Zero Trust environments.
  • Experience with SIEM and SOAR platforms.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and
  • Red/Purple Team methodologies.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CCNA, or CCNP.
  • Previous experience leading global Cyber Security transformation programs.

Salary (Ind.): - € / Per month Gross
