As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you’ll be part of our client’s newly formed SW Development Team, driving automated testing and ensuring their software products meet the highest standards.
Your day to day will include:
- Reviewing system specifications and application functionalities to identify testing needs.
- Producing, evaluating, and conducting test plans, scenarios, and cases, coordinating with internal teams or third-party providers
- Designing and enhancing testing frameworks, selecting appropriate tools for various testing types (e.g., web, mobile, performance), and implementing automation frameworks.
- Creating, debugging, and maintaining automated test cases and regression suites.
- Assisting and guiding third-party testing teams, coordinating with IT and business users, and supporting deployments through smoke tests and post-launch support.
- Performing performance testing for system scalability and regression testing for updates and fixes.
- Documenting test progress, results, and defects, and recommending improvements to enhance testing efficiency
What you need to succeed:
- BSc in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent
- 6+ years’ experience on Software Quality Assurance in a corporate environment
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance concepts, methodology and industry-standard testing tools
- Industry certifications such as (ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Test Automation Engineer, ISTQB Agile kTester, etc.) will be a plus
- Experience with JIRA/Bitbucket/Confluence/Bamboo or GitLab
- Hands-on experience in development and/or automation testing
- Experience in automation or load testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Mocha, Postman, Newman, JMeter, Gatling, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Good knowledge of coding and experience in JavaScript and/or Java
- Working experience with Agile methodology
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
- Effective organizational, prioritization and planning skills
- Team spirit and ability to cooperate at all levels effectively
