Role Overview
We are looking for a Windows Upgrade IT Engineer Intern to join our on-site team supporting a major Airport client. The intern will assist with large-scale Windows operating system upgrade activities across critical airport systems, working under the guidance of experienced engineers.
This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise IT environments, mission-critical infrastructure, and real-world technology operations within a high-availability airport setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Windows OS upgrade and migration activities (e.g., Windows 10/11) on desktops, laptops, and airport operational devices
- Assist in system preparation, deployment, testing, and post-upgrade validation
- Perform basic troubleshooting and issue resolution during and after upgrades
- Document upgrade procedures, configurations, and known issues
- Provide on-site technical support to airport users during upgrade windows
- Collaborate closely with engineers and airport IT stakeholders
- Follow strict airport IT, security, and operational procedures
- Escalate technical issues appropriately and in a timely manner
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Familiarity with PC hardware, peripherals, and basic networking concepts
- Willingness to work in an on-site airport environment, including shift-based or after-hours work if required
- Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Ability to follow procedures accurately in a regulated environment
