Purpose of the Role

The SAP Integration Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless technical integration of SAP S/4HANA with all surrounding systems across our client’s technology landscape. This role is responsible for designing, building, coordinating, and governing integrations (interfaces, middleware, APIs), ensuring that they meet both technical and business requirements.

Working closely with functional teams, IT, and external partners, the role ensures robust, scalable, and compliant integration solutions that support business continuity and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Understands and owns the integration architecture between SAP S/4HANA and surrounding systems
  
• Collaborates with functional teams to design and build integrations between systems, translating functional needs into technical solutions
  
• Oversees testing of integration solutions and validates end-to-end data consistency across functional scenarios
  
• Quickly grasps user requirements and evaluates solution options
  
• Delivers agreed projects and system changes within defined timelines
  
• Investigates incidents, provides detailed analysis to support resolution, and escalates SLA breaches when required
  
• Oversees transport management and deployment of integration objects, ensuring synchronization of interface configurations across landscapes (DEV → QA → PROD)
  
• Coordinates with functional leads to validate that SAP configuration changes do not disrupt existing interfaces
  
• Supports incident root cause analysis and initiates problem management activities
  
• Contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives
  
• Ensures compliance with Internal Control processes and procedures
  

Key Functional Competencies & Relevant Experience

• Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate significant and relevant experience in technical integrations, particularly within an SAP environment
  
• Certifications in SAP CPI, BTP, API Management, or related technologies are considered an asset
  
• 3-5 years of experience in an SAP consulting or implementation environment
  
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles
  
• Ability to define and build system solutions based on business requirements
  
• Creative systems design combined with rigorous implementation
  
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills
  
• Effective communication skills (technical and non-technical audiences)
  
• Capable of producing high-quality technical documentation
  
• Process-oriented mindset with the ability to perform quality process mapping
  
• Supports innovative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives
