Certified Scrum Product Owner® by James Coplien
Description
It is with great honor and joy that, after a long wait due to the pandemic, we have with us once again, the one and only: James Coplien!
The Code.Learn Certified Scrum Product Owner® program, designed in exclusive collaboration with James Coplien, author of Organizational Patterns and Lean/Agile Process and Architecture Coach, is designed to give aspiring and beginning Scrum Product Owners and team members the foundations of Scrum and Agile practice. Centered on practical exercises, the seminar creates lasting memories and learnings participants can carry over into their team in order to avoid common Agile pitfalls.
Rationale
A Product Owner embodies the vision for their product, has the final say over product content, and is accountable for the value generated by the product. From this perspective, the Product Owner is the CEO of an autonomous corporation comprising one or more Scrum Teams.
The Product Owner role is not just a retread Product Manager: he or she specifies tests, builds working prototypes, and may also specify wireframes and navigation trees. The Product Owner must ensure that the team understands each imminent product increment to the point of having an Enabling Specification— otherwise, the team gets to make it visible that the specs are inadequate.
Overall, The Product Owner is held accountable for creating value from the product. Great Product Owners can realize immense satisfaction from guiding a product with great value, and by watching their teams respond to their inspirational leadership.
Certification
Taking this CSM course and accepting the license agreement designates the participant as a Certified Scrum Product Owner®, which indicates that they have been introduced to and understand the basic concepts they need to perform as a Scrum Product Owner or team member on a Scrum team.
There are no exam requirements for acquiring the CSPO® Certification.
