GenAISA
Generative AI Skills Academy
DURATION: 2024-2027
Bridging the Skills Gap in Generative AI
GenAISA is a visionary Erasmus+ project dedicated to developing advanced training programs on generative AI technologies. By focusing on innovative resources, tailored curricula, and ethical AI practices, the project empowers learners, educators, and businesses across Europe to build essential skills and thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
The project aims to design, develop, and test two specialized curricula—one for Higher Education (HE) and another for Vocational Education and Training (VET).

Project Objectives
- Higher Education Curriculum: Equips learners with the knowledge and skills to design and develop generative AI solutions.
- Vocational Education and Training Curriculum: Focuses on the efficient, safe, and ethical use of generative AI tools.
- Workplace Resilience Course: Strengthens learners’ adaptability and problem-solving skills in professional settings.
Innovative Learning Approaches
- MOOC-Based Learning: The two curricula will be delivered and tested through a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).
- Virtual World Training: The resilience skills course will be tested in an interactive virtual environment.
Key Project Outputs
- Generative AI Competence Map & Job Profiles: Defining the skills required for roles such as “Generative AI Engineer” and “Prompt Engineer” in alignment with ESCO standards.
- HE & VET Curricula with Learning Resources: Emphasizing microlearning and challenge-based learning methodologies.
- Digital Skills Passport: Validates both generative AI and resilience skills, supporting career development.
- MOOC Platform: Facilitates the delivery of HE and VET courses.
- Virtual World for Resilience Training: Provides an immersive learning experience for workplace adaptability skills.
Target Audience
This project directly benefits:
- Students & Learners in HE and VET programs
- Education & Training Providers in HE and VET institutions
- Enterprises seeking AI-skilled professionals
- Policy Makers shaping AI education and workforce development strategies
Pilot Implementation & Certification
The curricula will be tested with at least 200 learners across Greece, Bulgaria, Spain, Finland, and Lithuania. Upon successful course completion, learners will receive micro-credentials to certify their newly acquired skills.
Building an AI Talent Ecosystem
By fostering collaboration among educators, enterprises, and policymakers, this project will establish an innovative learning ecosystem to support talent development in disruptive deep-tech fields, such as generative AI.
