The Role: Analytics Engineer

We’re looking for a motivated Analytics Engineer to join our client’s Business Intelligence team. You’ll be responsible for shaping data into reliable, well-modeled datasets that drive reporting, analytics, and decision-making across global Gaming operations.

You’ll work closely with BI Analysts, Data Engineers, and Product teams to ensure data is accurate, well-structured, and business-ready. This role combines strong data modeling expertise with hands-on problem-solving, testing, and a deep understanding of how data is consumed.

As an Analytics Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement scalable data models (e.g., dimensional/star schema) to support analytics and reporting
• Transform raw data into clean, reliable, and business-aligned datasets
• Apply data quality testing and validation to ensure accuracy and trust in data
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies through hands-on investigation and root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business logic into data transformations
• Build and maintain analytical data layers within the Data Hub for the market
• Work on data transformations and reconsolidation processes to ensure consistency across sources
• Support ETL processes and ensure data is properly structured for downstream consumption
• Support self-service analytics and improve data accessibility
• Contribute to monitoring and operationalizing data solutions

What you’ll bring:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, BI, or similar role
• Strong fundamentals in SQL and data modeling
• Experience with ETL processes and data transformation workflows
• Solid understanding of data quality testing and validation practices
• Strong logical reasoning and analytical thinking
• Hands-on investigation mindset and problem-solving depth
• Good understanding of core data engineering concepts
• Experience working with data discrepancies and reconciliation processes
• Familiarity with Python (or PySpark) for data transformation
• Attention to detail, ownership, and continuous improvement mindset 

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python for data transformation or analysis
• Familiarity with dbt and version control (Git)
• Exposure to modern data stack and architectures
• Knowledge of data warehousing technologies (Databricks, Snowflake)
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
