Description

An Analytics Engineer is at the heart of data-driven initiatives, with a focus on the silver and gold layers of a medallion architecture. The role plays a central part in enhancing four core elements: discoverability, security, quality, and observability of data.

An Analytics Engineer

• Adopts best practices in data modeling, ensuring data integrity, creating resilient test designs and developing comprehensive documentation.

• Translates complex business and functional requirements into scalable, operational solutions that meet high standards
• Implements and manages large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures, tailored for advanced analytics and data science.
• Develops and oversees efficient data transformation pipelines, utilizing ETL/ELT processes.
• Innovates and improves ongoing reporting and analysis processes by automating or simplifying self-service modeling and enhancing production support for our internal customers.

The candidate brings

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a relevant technical discipline with a focus on data.
• At least 2 years of experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• A background in data modeling and familiarity with star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Good understanding of data quality and testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset with high attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Nice to have

• Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with dbt to transform and model data.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Experience working in Agile teams or familiarity with Agile Methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban).
• Knowledge in industry domains: betting, casino, user accounts, payments, rewards, user communications.
