Our client is a leading multinational company in the insurance sector, committed to digital transformation and process optimization. The IT department is actively working on major technology-driven projects to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
Role Overview
They are looking for a Business Analyst to join the IT team in Athens. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting key IT transformation initiatives within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business users, product owners, and IT teams to analyze, document, and refine business and technical requirements.
- Support ongoing IT transformation projects, including:
- Core system modernization to enhance insurance operations.
- Digital customer experience initiatives (web & mobile platforms).
- Automation and AI-driven solutions to optimize processes.
- Regulatory compliance and risk management projects.
- Develop functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Conduct impact analysis and feasibility studies for new IT initiatives.
- Support testing, UAT, and training efforts to ensure system adoption.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and contribute to project planning.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in insurance, banking, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of business processes in insurance (e.g., underwriting, claims, policy administration).
- Experience with IT project methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall).
- Familiarity with core insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, SAP FS-CD, or similar) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with business process modeling (BPMN), SQL, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in Greek & English.
