Linux Systems Administrator

TMS Bulkers Ltd. is looking to employ a Linux Systems Administrator.

Duties:

  • Administer and maintain the company’s Linux servers and databases.
  • Apply OS updates and security patches
  • Install required Linux features based on application needs
  • Install, upgrade, or migrate to newer OS versions as needed to keep the software
  • Document of related tasks, procedures, and working instructions
  • Mandatory skills
  • Certified excellent knowledge of RHEL and Debian-based OSes
  • Excellent knowledge of OS service and process administration
  • Certified excellent knowledge of Database Administration on MySQL and MariaDB
  • on clustered environments (Galera Cluster)
  • Good knowledge of Apache / Nginx.
  • Basic understanding of the MSSQL database
  • Knowledge of Oracle database administration (optional)

Necessary qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • High know-how and problem-solving capability
  • Work and collaborate in a team
  • Follow corporate processes and procedures
  • Responsibility, consistency, and organization
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and work items
  • Proven experience of at least 4 years in a similar position
