We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join our client’s team, a leading insurance group operating across Europe and Asia with a strong presence in the insurance industry for over 30 years. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain custom SAP ABAP solutions, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of enterprise applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications, participate in agile ceremonies, and contribute to the full development lifecycle including coding, testing, debugging, and system enhancements. The position requires strong ABAP development skills, the ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team, and a continuous improvement mindset focused on delivering high-quality, well-documented solutions aligned with best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain custom software solutions and application components.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
- Enhance and optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and solutions.
- Utilize SAP ABAP to develop and customize enterprise applications.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Conduct unit testing and support system/integration testing activities.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation within the team.
- Maintain technical documentation for developed solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Develop custom software solutions by designing, coding, and enhancing system/application components.
- Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
- Work independently and grow into a subject matter expert.
- Actively participate in team discussions and contribute solutions to work-related challenges.
- Apply intermediate SAP ABAP development skills in projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

Salary (Ind.): 2300-2500 € / Per month Gross
