We are looking for a talented Android Engineer to join a dynamic GameTech project. As an Android Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining high-performance mobile applications using Kotlin and Android technologies. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you will translate UI designs into high-quality code, build reusable and scalable application components, integrate RESTful APIs, optimize application performance and ensure code quality through best development practices. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative gaming and entertainment platforms that serve a rapidly growing international customer base across multiple markets worldwide.

You will be joining a fast-growing Gaming project for an established GameTech company operating in Europe, the Americas, and ROW countries (Greece, Brazil, Ireland, Finland, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador, Cyprus, and New Zealand), with hubs in Greece, Malta, Brazil, and Mexico and 1200+ employees across all countries of operation. Our partner is committed to staying at the forefront of technological advancements, continually pushing boundaries and delivering seamless entertainment and online gaming experiences to their rapidly expanding customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable and reliable Kotlin code.
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of the application.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
Required Qualifications
- University and/or Postgraduate Degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant experience in software development.
- Experience in launching one or more Android apps, currently available on Google Play will be considered as an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
- Constantly learn, improve on your skills, share knowledge and adapt to processes and convention.
Nice-to-Have Technical Skills
- 2+ years of Android software development.
- Κnowledge of Kotlin software development will be considered as a huge advantage.
- Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
- Programming Experience interfacing with server APIs via JSON.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Familiarity with functional programming principles.
- Familiarity in algorithms and complexity.
Salary (Ind.): 1800-2400 € / Per month Gross
