Our Client’s mission is to design and develop smart software solutions that support defense forces, public safety organizations, and civil protection agencies. They also explore the application of artificial intelligence in all their solutions, including decision support tools and multi-source intelligence report analysis using natural language understanding. They are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee public sector IT projects. The successful candidate will manage the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and closure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IT projects within the public sector, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications
- Engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including government officials and contractors
- Develop detailed project plans, monitor project progress against milestones and deadlines, identify potential risks and issues and propose corrective actions as needed
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts when necessary
- Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders to define and document business needs into clear and concise functional specifications for development teams.
- Produce high-quality reports and project documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment
Qualifications and Skills:
- BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 8-10 years of proven experience in managing IT projects within the Greek public sector
- Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities at the same time
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Trustworthy and discreet, with the capability to work effectively in a politically sensitive environment
