Our client is a leading company in the oil and gas sector and currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Specialist to join their applications team.
Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing their Microsoft D365 CRM, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of their business. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage change requests, work with external vendors, and ensure compliance with internal processes and audits. Your technical expertise will be crucial in maintaining optimum system performance and driving cost optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the Microsoft D365 CRM application to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into technical requirements. Facilitate effective communication to ensure all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate and prioritize change requests, ensuring they align with business objectives and are implemented efficiently. Coordinate with relevant internal and external teams to manage the end-to-end change request process.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service partners. Coordinate efforts to support, extend, and enhance applications, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Rigidly apply internal processes and meet security and compliance requirements. Prepare and provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of D365 CRM to troubleshoot issues, optimize system performance, and recommend improvements. Stay updated with the latest features and best practices.
- Develop and deliver training programs for end users to enhance their understanding and usage of the D365 CRM application. Provide ongoing support and expert advice to ensure users are proficient and confident in their roles.
- Continuously monitor and analyze system performance, driving enhancements and optimizations to maintain peak efficiency and reliability.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to optimize expenditures related to the deployment, operation, support, and maintenance of D365 CRM.
Competencies:
- Between 3-5 years of experience in D365 Sales/ Customer Service/ Marketing.
- Working knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Hands-on experience with application lifecycle management, including deployment, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Strong ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and manage change requests effectively.
- Proven track record of collaborating with external vendors and service partners.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Energy & Utilities industry experience is desirable.
Education Level:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A master’s degree in an IT-related field is desirable.
Other Skills / Experience:
- Related Microsoft certifications, such as D365 CRM, Power Platform, Azure etc. is advantageous.
