Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SRE Engineer to join our client’s growing Integration team.
In this hands-on role, you will act as a core practitioner responsible for deployment reliability on the platforms that deliver our client’s mission-critical software. You will operate across a complex hybrid landscape, managing resources in both public cloud and traditional on-premises data centers.

We are looking for an engineer who is passionate about Infrastructure-as-Code, comfortable troubleshooting across Linux and Windows environments, and eager to translate architectural designs into robust, automated reality while eliminating manual operational toil.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Level Design: Design and orchestrate Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for production services. Build and maintain dashboards for data-driven prioritization on new features deployments vs reliability optimizations.
• Observability & Monitoring Architecture: Design, deploy, improve the observability stack (metrics, logs, traces) covering both cloud-hosted and on- premises. Ensure comprehensive, low-noise, actionable, SLO-driven alert coverage.
• Infrastructure Automation Development (IaC): Functional working knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD platforms (GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) sufficient to collaborate effectively with DevOps, review infrastructure changes for reliability impact, and instrument deployed resources but without primary ownership of those layers.
• Advanced Infrastructure Troubleshooting: Act as first technical responder for complex infrastructure alerts and deployment failures escalated from entry-level engineers. Perform deep-dive root cause analysis on technical incidents across OS, network, and automation layers, and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Scripting & Tooling: Identify repetitive manual operational tasks (such as complex environment refreshes, log rotation strategies, backup, or health status checks) and develop reliable automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Capacity Planning & Performance Engineering: Conduct production workloads capacity analysis and modelling current vs projected utilization trends demand to proactively manage resources before limitations impact service levels. Support load and performance testing for baseline and validation.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of practical, hands-on experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Administration, DevOps Eng. role in a production environment.
• Infrastructure-as-Code Proficiency: Ability to read, troubleshoot, and occasionally contribute to IaC repositories maintained primarily by the DevOps team.
• Observability & Monitoring: Demonstrated practical experience building and/or operating monitoring and alerting stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, ELK/OpenSearch, or equivalent). Familiarity with distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry, Jaeger) is a strong plus.
• SLO/SLI Methodology: Practical knowledge of defining and managing Service Level Objectives, Service Level Indicators, and error budgets as operational engineering tools.
• Incident Management: Experience in incident responding for complex, multi- component production failures, including structured post-mortem facilitation and action item ownership.
• Hybrid OS & Networking Skills: Strong administration and troubleshooting skills in Primarily Linux with some Windows exposure, and application layers, with the ability to isolate failure domains.
• Scripting Ability: Competency in writing reliable automation scripts in at least one major language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to identify technical issues and systematically drive them to resolution independently.
