PLANETEK HELLAS is organizing the On-Board Academy powered by Code.Hub.

This specialized Learning & Development Opportunity is an intensive hands-on software engineering academy (bootcamp) preparing prospective colleagues, who will be involved in the on-board software development activities, working on the design and implementation of Planetek Hellas’ innovative products.

Duration & Schedule

This specific program lasts 3 days and includes 6 Training Hours per day of lectures and hands-on exercise on real case studies and projects.

Key Objectives – Curriculum

This 3-day program will present, explore and adequately cover with extended hands-on sessions & real-life case studies the following areas:

Academy Day 01

Session A: Setup of the developer’s environment. Arduino kit, driver software on a desktop pc or laptop. platform for simulations.
Session B: Requirement specifications analysis of the project. The main aim is to create a measurement system of the performance of a DC motor.
Session C: Working with the components, sensors, actuators, displays, and driver programs in C for Arduino.

Academy Day 02

Session A: Implementation and testing of integrated experiments. Collection of data in memory and files. Use cases with open and closed loop examples.
Session B: Presentation of data with HTML and js libraries. Introduction to web applications.
Session C: Developer roles; front end – back end engineers. Project management principles. Working with waterfall and agile methodologies.

Academy Day 03

Session A: Integration, testing of the system & project finalization.
Session B: Version Control and collaboration techniques within the team.  DevOps Principles for on board software development.
Session C: Presentations & evaluation of the work. Design of the future steps.
