ReGeneration Academy 4Women in Tech | Project Management powered by Microsoft is the first Academy for young women that connects hands-on training on tech related project management with in-demand job positions in the field of Technology.

It constitutes the third ReGenaration Academy in collaboration with Microsoft, in the framework of DiGiYouth Initiative, aiming at empowering the next generation of women tech professionals and providing them with the essential tools, in order to claim positions in a field where women are still significantly underrepresented.

This in an intensive theoretical and hands-on training program on basic and advanced principles on Project Management and Agile Methodologies and has been carefully designed by ReGeneration and Microsoft, with Code.Hub being the training partner. The program and has a total duration of 120 training hours and includes 30 hours of preparatory training (self-paced) using Microsoft’s online educational material, 60 hours of live online instructor-led training through Microsoft’s virtual classroom ecosystem and finally 30 hours of post-training specialization (self-paced) using Microsoft’s online educational material.

The participants will be taught how to plan, monitor and lead projects, based on the focus and overall philosophy that Agile has. Together with the use of certain Services (such as Azure Boards), the participants will have hands-on experience with project and product management as well as with Agile mindset, planning, and working, as real-life cases will be examined and studied. This course focuses on creating leaders that understand the common reality of changing needs and the basic frameworks of Agile Scrum and Kanban.

The training is based on Technology, on the concept and the need for the Digital Transformation of companies, on the competitive international environment of the era of Digital Economy, while the participants get familiarized with state-of the-art solutions and management tools.

The program is designed for graduates of Information Technology/ Computer Engineering / Programming / Engineering / Mathematics & Statistics, Finance/ Management/Business Administration Schools and young professionals from various fields that, even though they usually have a strong academic background, they lack the necessary experience for the trending corporate Agile environment that emerges. The perfect candidates will be enthusiasts of the cutting-edge technologies of the 21st century, that modern and innovative businesses make use of, and are willing to explore and study the immense possibilities that these technologies “unlock”.

The program will enable participants to acquire a unique hands-on experience by using cutting- edge technologies and tools equipping them with the necessary tools to make them competitive in the job market to claim positions in the related fields.

Learning & Development Methodology & Structure

The overall training approach contains the engagement of the participants in three layers that require from them their active participation and corresponding commitment. More specifically the training structure is the following:

  • Preparatory Training: 30 hours of Self-learning with online Microsoft material for initial upskilling and bringing all the participants to the same level.
  • Academy: 60 hours of live online instructor-led training through Microsoft’s virtual classroom ecosystem
  • Post-training development – Specialization: 30 hours of Self-learning with online Microsoft material

 

Duration & Schedule

The duration of the program is 120 hours in total, and each of the training phase is described below:

  • The preparatory training duration will be 30 hours in 1 week

    • 22 March – 28 April

The 60-hour Academy will last 5 weeks and consists of 60 hours of lectures and hands-on exercise on real case studies and projects via virtual classroom environment and online collaboration platforms.

Conditions for participation:

The program is designed for graduates of Information Technology/ Computer Engineering /Programming / Engineering / Mathematics & Statistics, Finance/ Management/Business Administration Schools and young professionals that, even though they usually have a strong academic background, they lack the necessary experience and confidence for the working environment. Eligible for participation are early graduates of Greek or foreign higher education (ΑΕΙ/ ΤΕΙ / College), on one of the following academic directions:

  • Business Administration/ Management

 

Young women:

Up to 29 years old, as the program is aimed at graduates at the beginning of their careers.

Zero or limited work experience:

Work experience from 0 to 3 years full time, upon completion of studies.

Extracurricular activities:

Extracurricular activities Active participation in extracurricular activities (ex. volunteering, sports, entrepreneurship, art and any other Appearance non-academic activity).
