Since July 2018, the company΄s sole shareholder is the Italian ENI, a leading player in the oil & power industry. It is a strategic partnership that has for many years served and supported Greek society through innovative and reliable services.

The company provides energy to hundreds of households and businesses, having become the largest energy supplier in number of connections on a national level, only second to the PPC. The company’s successful and long progress is based both on the significant benefits of natural gas and on the priority given to the satisfaction of the customers’ needs – residential and corporate – by providing high-level, safe and reliable services. They became the 1st integrated energy provider in Greece with natural gas & electricity products.

The company’s primary objective in the Greek energy market is to provide integrated energy solutions to its customers in the entire territory. In this context, the company has sealed its entry in the electricity market, having acquired by the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) a 20-year license to supply 350MW of electricity. This will allow the company to offer bundled products, as well as electricity and gas products and services, totally covering the consumers’ energy needs, both at residential and at business levels. Our client remains focused on its client-oriented philosophy to continuously enhance consumer experience and to invest in state-of-the-art infrastructure and innovative equipment that respond to this need. With 7 modern stores, specialized staff, a customer service number (18321), a user-friendly website, and an online service, their goal is to provide instant and high quality services.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure virtualization systems, Microsoft servers and applications, and Microsoft Networking Services.
• Plan and perform infrastructure maintenance and system upgrades.
• Follow ITIL process (incident, problem, change management, etc.)
• Maintain and improve corporate connectivity by proactively monitoring performance troubleshooting network problems and outages, and applying required configurations.
• Define and apply device and firmware lifecycle policies.
• Provide 1st and mainly, 2nd level support and resolve customer issues, ensuring that high-quality service and support are provided to all internal and external customers.
• Ensure SLAs are met, documentation is accurate, and policies and procedures are in place for all systems and supporting infrastructure.
• Develop and document an in-depth knowledge of existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio, implementing operational monitoring as required, including common, integrated road maps for infrastructure operations.
• Develop and execute test plans to verify infrastructure and systems quality attributes.
• Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
• Support the IT disaster recovery plan’s ongoing development, documentation, testing and delivery.
• Manage supplier provisioning and operational performance, including leading supplier services to match 3rd-line support.
• Undertake small- to medium-sized IT projects under the support and supervision of the Head of IT Operations.

Requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud (knowledge of cloud resource deployment principles or usage of specific cloud technologies, pricing, and cost optimization).
• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS, SaaS, PaaS systems and services.
• Understanding of Backup systems (preferably Veritas Azure Backup).
• VMWare/ Hyper-V Virtualization, including HA clusters, Storage/SAN Management and virtual networking.
• Solid Knowledge of Microsoft server products and applications, Active Directory, Group Policy, LDAP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Ability to run multiple tasks in parallel in a systematic, timely, and organized manner.
• Ability to set priorities and organize his work to meet strict deadlines.
• Project-focused attitude and ability to work proactively and efficiently.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Education Level:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Software Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science would be an asset.
• Azure certifications may be advantageous.

Other Knowledge:

• Hands-on experience with structured cabling and network connectivity, incl. routers, switches, access points, and SD-WAN technologies.
• Systems management procedures in a large commercial, mission-critical environment.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/ 2019, including HA.
• Good understanding of MS Office 365/ MS Exchange Online.
• Deployment of SQL Server 2016+ in a clustered environment.
• Experience in IT Security, Security Audits, and Vulnerability Assessments gained in complex ICT environments.
