The energy transition is a done deal, but many of the milestones that need to be achieved by 2030 currently still pose huge challenges. Whether it’s the range of e-mobiles, the charging infrastructure or the necessary expansion of renewable energies, climate-neutral construction and heating or sustainable transport options – there are still many more questions than answers and, not least, visions that should one day become reality.

As a leading technology consultant, our client  has been working on this progress since 2008. They started in the automotive sector with topics around the electric powertrain and the battery. Since then, they have steadily expanded their portfolio – a logical consequence for them, because their interdisciplinary teams can optimally apply their skills in this challenging terrain.

They have long counted energy providers, grid operators and suppliers among their customers and, in addition, continue to provide decisive impetus: For example, it has initiated the construction of a German cell factory and is currently working together with other players from industry and research on the topic of megawatt charging for commercial vehicles.​

For them, energy transition means much more than switching to renewable energies. They don’t just develop solutions and technologies, they incorporate them into digitalization. Their latest topic is sustainable building and living – a challenge with countless facets. Only when components such as photovoltaics, energy storage, heat pumps and e-mobiles are optimally coordinated will the best possible and, above all, user-friendly results be achieved.

Senior DevOps Engineer​

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and implement CI/CD processes by designing CI/CD pipelines according to project requirements
• Create and implement best security practices for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD process
• Create and maintain best practices for scability and high availability in cloud infrastructure
• Design and create internal and project-based procedures for DevOps for system setup, troubleshooting and maintenance
• Responsible for communication with customer, understanding and implementing requirements for specific project
• Timely inform if a project timeline/sprint delivery cannot be met
• Inform cooperating teams that their work is unblocked or support is needed
• Support other teams in deployment setup
• Mentor and coach junior team members, execute onboarding plan, assist in making decisions, solve problems, manage meetings, and set goals

Who You Are:

• Experienced with Linux/Unix administration
• Experienced with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
• Have a great understanding of network stack
• Experienced in building and maintaining complex systems at scale with Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to read, write and review infrastructure as a code (ARM, Cloud Formation, Terraform)
• Good understanding of version control systems (GIT)
• Proficient with CI/CD tool (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab etc)
• Proficient with scripting languages (bash, PowerShell, python etc.)
• Knowledgeable in monitoring applications performance and end-user experience using monitoring tool (Promethes, Nagios etc),
• Advanced communication skills in English
• Proactive work attitude and team oriented
• Excellent analytical skills and keen perception
• Eager to learn new technologies and methodologies
