Java Technical Lead

You will be joining a large-scale European technology project supporting the delivery and continuous evolution of mission-critical digital solutions for major public-sector and enterprise organizations. Our partner is a well-established IT services provider with a strong presence across Europe, known for delivering complex software engineering and digital transformation initiatives. Operating within an international and multicultural environment, the project focuses on ensuring the reliability, enhancement, and long-term sustainability of key business applications through modern delivery practices and continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• The ability to lead the development team and become productive quickly due to project complexity.

Technical Requirements

• Java 17+ (current stack running on JDK 25).
• Spring Boot 3+ (experience with latest versions required).
• Spring Cloud Stream (extensive use for Kafka integration).
• Kafka – intermediate level (hands-on experience required).
• Kubernetes + Helm – intermediate level (critical skill).
• Strong experience in Enterprise Java microservices and Event-driven architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in similar complex environments.
• Ability to quickly onboard and become productive.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Experience working in lead or senior roles.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Elasticsearch (basic).
• MongoDB (basic).
• PostgreSQL (basic).
• Docker / ArgoCD (basic familiarity).
• Work proactively in a fast-moving environment.
